Containers

What is ISO Tanks ?

An ISO Tank is a tank container which is built to
the ISO standard (International Organization for
Standardization). ISO tanks are designed to carry
liquids in bulk, both hazardous and nonhazardous. The tank is made of stainless steel
and is surrounded by various types of protective
layers.

Overview of ISO Tank Containers : An ISO tank container is a large stainless steel pressure
vessel held within a 20-foot ISO frame that is used for
the transportation and storage of bulk liquids.
An ISO tank container is able to carry up to 66% more
product than a standard 20-foot container loaded with
70-80 drums of the same product, lowering the unit
shipping costs while assuring a safe containment of the
cargo.
Due to its ease of handling, effectiveness and efficiency,
ISO thank containers are the preferred choice for bulk
liquid transportation.

Benefits of ISO Tank

Containers :-

1. Reliability :-

ISO UN Portable tank containers are developed to a very high

standard and are thoroughly tried under the ISO models.
They are manufactured from stainless steel which has a high
erosion resistance and it can withstand extreme forces as
compared with drums or flexi-packs.
Every one of the valves are assessed and affirmed by the proper
powers and three terminations are compulsory on all ISO tank
holders.
This implies that the disappointments must happen at each of the
three terminations before the tank would spill.

2. Space Economy : ISO tanks can be stacked with each other

generally as normal dry box containers, offering
sparing space distribution on vessels and as
temporary storage.

3. Efficiency : ISO tanks permit redundant, large capacity

haulage without the requirement for assistant
pressing materials.
A 20-ft ISO tank holder can transport up to 6070% more cargo when compared against loading
a regular 20-ft dry box container with drums.
The pre-introduced steam coil permits effective
stacking/ release of temperature sensitive
liquids.

4. Greater Flexibility : ISO tank containers empower between modular

logistics between different methods of
transportation including sea vessels, trucks, and
rails.
It offers greater flexibility in planning as well as
reducing costs and carbon footprints.

5. Environmentally
Reported
leaks from
ISO tank containers are extremely
Friendly
:rare and the risk of spillage upon transportation/discharge
is vastly reduced when compared against drums or flexibags.
The ISO tank container is capable of carrying greater
volume per container (up to 26,000 litres per tank) and can
be transported on railroads; thereby greatly reducing
carbon footprints.
It also has a long lifespan (approximately 35 years) while
drums and flexi-bags has a much shorter lifespan and are
rarely recycled.
