Freaktones
Woodtales
Wootales formed in the summer of 2010.
Drawing mostly on classic and hard rock music
they started experimenting with different sounds
and gradually moved closer towards the sounds
of Pink Floyd, Camel, King Crimson both in their
covers and in their own compositions.
Freak Tones formed in Chania and consist of six
people with different musical influences -however,
all attached to a common purpose: To perform
with their own distinctive sounds very different
styles of music that we all love and cherish.

object over subject. A set of amplified acoustic

musical instruments with intent to release us from
the bonds of individuality.
Marinos Koutsomichalis is an artist, scholar
and software developer. He has collaborated
with various institutions worldwide and he has
presented his work internationally in all sorts of
milieus: from leading museums and acclaimed
biennales to industrial sites, and from underground
venues to churches or scientific conferences. He
has been responsible for numerous workshops/
talks worldwide and for writing the Mapping and
Visualization with SuperCollider book.
Akis Sinos is an active member of the Athenian
experimental music scene. As a musician, he has
been working with analog devices and synthesizers
and various contemporary digital tools, exploring a
wide range of sounds. He is one of the founders
of Hypermedium, an Athens-based record label
focusing on contemporary creation in electronic
music and digital arts. For European Music Day
they will present a piece created exclusively for
the space of the underground fountain, based on
the interaction between an analog synthesizer and
SuperCollider programming language.
Panos Alexiadis is a composer improviser
and sound artist based in Athens, Greece focusing
on contemporary electronic - electroacoustic
music. While he explores an introverted sonic
environment he creates a sense of wandering
into his long compositions as he uses his modular
synthesizer along with field recordings, physical
instruments and other electronic devices. Over
the past 10 years he has performed in Greece,
Germany, UK, France, Italy, Switzerland and made
more than 40 releases (mostly on cassette format)
with various projects.
Acte vide (empty act) is the electroacousrtic
duo of Yannis Kotsonis and Danae Stefanou. Active
since 2006 as a primarily improvisatory unit,
they creatively explore the aesthetic potentials
of noise, collaborating frequently with a wide
variety of musicians, visual artists and directors.
The duo has performed live in Greece and the UK
and participated in several international festivals
(n Mute 2014, Borderline 2013, Festival du Film
Francophone, Moving Silence, R, Thessaloniki
International Film Festival, etc). Their first cd
Noeud was released on Moremars in 2011.

canyon). After seven long years, of venturing

pointlessly into nothingness, with the same sense
of no future as most people in Athens these days,
Johnny Tercu and his boys are still happy to rock
onto something loud, noisy and somewhat exotic.
Love em or hate em, they dont care. This is
Rita Mosss, and they couldnt have it any other
way. A punk duo from Greece, active 5 years now
with two full albums, one split EP and another full
album ready to be released in a couple of months,
they have conquered the Greek underground
punk scene with their original songwriting and
electrifying live performances. Strong, fuzzy, bass
riffs, creative rhythm patterns, banging drums
and original vocal ideas, mixed with a lot of punk
attitude, all together form the unique raw garage
blend known as Rita Mosss, or in other words,
punk...something!
Thymics is a four-member band formed in 2015
in Herakleion Crete. Aggressive sound mainly
influenced from the post-punk scene.
Fountoukia (Huzelnuts) are the necessary
ingredients for someone to enjoy liquid sound in
Heraklion Crete. Since 2008, they have always
been served in portions of three. When combined
with stormy surf, they leave a strong punk taste of
oriental rock n roll. Long studies show that their
consumption leads to certain Dance.

According to Brian Eno, ambient music must be
able to accommodate different levels of acoustic
perception. It must be invisible and at the same
time interesting. Playing with this musical
approach, djs Lee Fragged, Dimitri Barnias and
Nikos Sfikas will spin out some chill out - ambient
records while trying to integrate with the acoustic
environment of Pili Ammou park.

Babel is characterized by creating a progressive

folk rock, psychedelic music code, rooted in the
island of Crete and the Aegean sea. Through the
interaction of the timbre of the electric lute with
drums and electric bass, the music of Babel,
associated with multiple roots, uses a variety of
aesthetic references to create original and dynamic
compositions bringing up its own musical style.

performing and remixing sounds with a swing,
jazz and blues feel while they sing songs that
range from Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson
to Nikolas Asimos, Chiotis or Manos Chatzidakis.
