bottles at the objects

MaterialsWater bottle or pop bottle
Objects to put inside the pop or water bottle (sand and sea shells) (Water, blue food
coloring)
Appropriate Age group: Infant and toddlers
Beginning of Activity
Opening statement- Children will watch their caregiver make the bottle.
Middle of Activity
Your ideas for scaffolding children at different developmental levels
Early: Children will hold, move and look at the bottle

Middle: Children will shake the bottle

Later: Children will shake and point at the objects inside the bottle

End of Activity- Children will have each bottle in each hand and bang them together

Follow-up Ideas
1. Children will open empty bottles for fine motor practice
2. Have the children explore the sand with their hands
