MULTIPLAN LAUNCHES THE 9TH EXPANSION AT RIBEIROSHOPPING

WITH A MODERN MEDICAL CENTER
Rio de Janeiro, June 15, 2016 - MULTIPLAN EMPREENDIMENTOS IMOBILIRIOS S.A. (BM&FBOVESPA: MULT3)
announces the launch of the 9th expansion of RibeiroShopping, a modern medical center fully integrated to the shopping
center, which will have 4,200 square meters of Gross Leasable Area (GLA) in the first of its two phases, including a dayhospital, a radiology and imaging center and a clinical laboratory. The opening is scheduled for the second quarter 2017.
The project was inspired by the success of BarraShopping Medical Center, opened by Multiplan in 1994 and expanded in
2016, which became a reference in health care services in Rio de Janeiro, and completed the mixed-use complex started by
the shopping center.
The entire project will bring together several medical specialties, as well as diagnostic imaging center, clinical laboratory and
a modular auditorium with capacity for 150 people, directed to events and courses. The Medical Center will diversify the offer
of services by the shopping center, which will be integrated via escalators, elevators and direct access by the parking
garage. One of the projects highlight is the strong synergy generated not only by the shopping center, but also by the
mixed-use complex in which the mall is located, including events center, two office towers and a hotel, creating even more
convenience and comfort to its customers. The Company estimates that the Medical Center will bring a flow of
approximately 90 thousand people per month to the complex.
Multiplan's investment in the first phase will be R$23.6 million. The construction works, expected to begin in July 2016,
should generate 350 direct jobs, and when operating the Medical Center will bring together approximately 500 professionals,
including physicians, nurses, technicians, attendants and service providers.
RibeiroShopping was inaugurated on May 5, 1981 and today stands in the center of a bustling region of Ribeiro Preto
(SP), receiving more than 10 million visits a year. The mall went through eight expansions, has 400 stores and, after the first
phase of the 9th expansion, will reach 72,900 m of GLA.
