Abstract: Digital-thermometer design requires consideration of signal-conditioning and display-driving circuitry as
well as of temperature sensors. Using a single-chip integrating CMOS A/D converter greatly simplifies the circuitry,
making it possible to concentrate on sensor selection and calibration. In choosing the sensor, component cost, ease of
calibration and power consumption must be considered. (0 refs)
