    libertyandthepursuitofhappiness.Libertyisnttheonlythingthatslavesgoafterthere'slife
    andtheirpursuitofhappiness.
    LibertyinmodernAmericaisnotissuehoweveritstheprotectionofAfricanAmerican
    becausetheyreceivesomanyviolencefromotherraces,whichalsoagreestoSchulmansidea
    thatfreedomisntenough.Inconclusion,accordingtoSchulman,NancyRawlessaysthatliberty
    isntenoughinhernovelbecauseslavesgoafterLife,andtheirpursuitofhappinessnotonly
    liberty.Also,they'reabletodothosethingswithoutlibertyaccordingtoSchulman.
