Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

I researched and trained teachers

from various grade levels on using
SMART board technologies in their
classrooms. While doing these field
experiences, I learned to assess my
own TPACK as well as other
teachers that I helped. I learned that
everyones TPACK was very
different. Each teacher had different
strengths and weaknesses that I had
to adapt to. Because I was helping a
variety of grade levels, I found
strategies and tools from the
SMART board that could be used to
differentiate accordingly.
2. How did this learning relate to the
knowledge (what must you know),
skills (what must you be able to do)
and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader?

Eligible for Free/Reduced Meals

(Refer to the standards you selected in

Part I. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect
on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
This learning related a lot to the
Visionary Leadership standards. I had to
research, develop, and implement my
technology findings to other teachers. I
was able to share my knowledge of the
SMART board to help other teachers
differentiate in their classrooms. I was
very enthusiastic when I had the chance
to teach other colleagues. My beliefs
about teaching technology to other
teachers slightly changed because I had
assumed most teachers were all
proficient with technology.
3. Describe how this field experience
impacted school improvement, faculty
development or student learning at
your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
I have a lot of impact on the schools
technology improvements because I am
the technology coach. Because I am also
a homeroom teacher, I get to try the new
technology first in my classroom, then
share it with my colleagues. Both
teachers and students receive the
benefits of my technology findings. This
field experience, in particular, can be
assessed by observations of classroom
teachers and students engagement with
new SMART activities.
