procedures as well as the successful
placement of a future prosthetic
restorations.

Where the ridge is of a relatively

regular contour and adequate height,
but presents undercut on the depth of
labial vestibule because of the
configurations of the alveolar ridge.

To accommodate a lower or upper denture,

the exostoses prevents the seating of
denture and can cause irritation due to
functional stresses upon denture.

gingiva, according to the exostoses
regions.
Reflection and elevation of
mucoperiosteal flap to expose the
bone area to be recontoured

Removal of the sharp bone edges

with rongeours or bone bur.

Smoothing of bone with a bone file

Irrigating the operation site using saline solutions.

Closing and suturing the flap. The patient is
scheduled for follow up in 2 weeks post-operatively.
