Theories of International
Decision Making
1. Prospect Theory
People can decide the results that they see equivalent, put a
reference point, and assume that the lesser outcomes to be
losses and the greater one to be gains.
In other case, people act to total a value based on the possible
outcomes and their particular probabilities, and later choose
the substitute having a higher efficacy.

Theories of International
Decision Making
2. Diversion Way Theory
This diversion strategy may have the following positive
effects:
The external aggression may make the country united.
The external war may cause the populace to forget the original
dissatisfaction with the government
It would increase backing for the regime. This would give the
government time to solve the internal problems.
False tension generated from the international fight may validate a
leaders conquest of dissent.
