The document outlines the roles of students building roller coasters, including a head engineer overseeing design, construction, and teamwork, a structural engineer ensuring stability, and a special effects engineer constructing loops and other features. It also describes the engineering process as having phases for design, basic structure, special features, and testing designs through speed calculations.

Roller Coaster Physics: Students are putting the final touches onto their roller coasters! 1. Head Engineer: Oversees the entire operation. This includes the design, construction, and teamwork management. 2. Structural Engineer: Ensures the roller coaster does not collapse and it remains stable and secure. Responsible for building the basic structure. 3. Special Effects Engineer: In charge of the construction of the special parts of the roller coaster. Creates the funnel, loops, turns, and any other special features! 4. Architect: Designs and oversees the layout of the roller coaster. Receives input and designs/draws roller coaster to oversee construction. Phase 1: The engineering process and architectural design Phase 2: Building the basic structure Phase 3: Adding on the special features Phase 4: Testing the designs - calculating speed
