In the Name Of Allah, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful. I thank
Him for His love and guidance and give me strength and motivation in
completing this coursework. Without His endless guidance, I might not be
able to complete this coursework.
A very special acknowledgement goes to my beloved lecturer,Sir
Ahmad Zulkiply, who has shown the path through his knowledge in doing

STAKEHOLDER : PARENTS
INTRODUCTION:

KSSR is the new system introduced by the Ministry of Education in

2011. Today, it is the system used by all primary schools in Malaysia.

TSL 3143 CURRICULUM STUDIES

CONTENTS:

As parents, it is vital for us to know of what this new system offers to

our children.
However, we do not have clear ideas on what KSSR is
especially on the content and the assessment towards our

children. We just know on the surface only.

As school administrator, you should gather all of us and
explain detail on this new curriculum. So, we will have idea on

how to help our children in their learning.

Based on my observation, there are several teachers also were
not clear of this new curriculum. So, how can we build trust on

what they are delivering to our children?

Thus, there will be shortcoming due to this new curriculum.

The shortcoming identified is there is no specific exam carry out.

The children might not learn much. They just go to school and

play with their friends.

This was proven by another parents in the articles wrote by
Kalai Lingam, (2014) which stated that the children need

exams to give them a target to work towards.

Without the exams there is no real benchmark. This is going to
be worry because, we cannot discover the content they have

master and their weakness towards their learning.

Hence, we do not know how to help them in improving their

productivity.
However, this new curriculum still able to give positive impact to my
children.
Based on the story told by my children, they enjoy the lesson

taught by his teacher.

The teacher carried out a creative game which involve the
whole pupils in that class. He enjoyed it very much because he

had opportunity to mingle around with their friends.

I could see the difference in his social skill. Before this, he was
a shy person. He talked about something important only. But

now, he likes to share his experiences with their peers,

teachers and people around him.

What surprising me is now, he able to ask higher order

questions to me in order to get new knowledge.

Thus, it shows that his brain is now start to do the jobs well.

CONCLUSION:
The new curriculum introduced just to enhance our education system.
As parents, we are not condemning this new curriculum system. We just
want the best for our children. Hence, they will become the first class
human capital that can lead our country wisely.
