    ABSTRACT
    The species of the family of Sargassaceae get high economic value and a great number of uses. Product
    extracted from Sargassum have been used in different fields such as food, medicine and industry all over the world
    during years ago. This Sargassum concentrates and distributes importantly in the Center of Vietnam, inwhich Thua
    Thien Hue province situates.
    This study was determined 7 species of two genera of Turbinaria and Sargassum in family of Sargassaceae.
    The biological diversity of Sargassum genus (5 species) was more than Turbinaria genus (stations: STD3, SH1,
    SH2, SH3)
    The survey done in slice showed more species in the north than in the south of Hai Van- Son Cha
    peninsula. The number of species of each area was between 1 5 species. Sargassum distributed wider than
    Turbinaria. From 9 stations, the species in genus of Sargassum apeared at 7 stations, otherwhile only at 5 stations
    for Turbinaria.
    The method of Saito and Atobe (1970) and Margarita (2003) was used in this study which reflected
    percentage cover from 37.5% to 75%. SH4, SH5, SHT6 from the north of the peninsula were the stations of high.
