    Deputies from the Guilford County Sheriff's Office will be stationed on the roof of the Friendly Center Chick-Fil-A from May 20-22 to raise money for Special Olympics. As part of the annual "Cops on Top" fundraising event, off-duty deputies will interact with and solicit donations from customers in the drive-thru and restaurant parking lot. Last year, the Guilford County Sheriff's Office raised more money for Special Olympics North Carolina than any other law enforcement agency in the state through these fundraising efforts.

    Cops On Top
    Deputies with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office are showing their funny side and
    making a little noise up on the roof at Friendly Center’s Chick Fil-A! That’s right, the
    next fundraising event in the Sheriff’s Torch Run for Special Olympics begins today at:
    Friendly Center Chick Fil-A
    611 Pembroke Road, Greensboro
    Thursday 6AM to 4 PM
    Friday 6 AM to 4 PM
    Saturday 8 AM to 2 PM
    Cops On Top is an annual partnership with Chick Fil-A, in which off-duty Sheriff’s
    Deputies prowl the restaurant roof with a sound system, talking with (friendly heckling)
    customers in the drive-thru and on the ground. We beg for money, and people give, it’s
    that simple. Deputies are donating their time because of their passion for Special
    Olympics. Come by and watch the interaction! It’s great fun and all proceeds go to
    Special Olympics NC.

    Last year Guilford County Sheriff’s Office was ranked number one in the statewide Law
    Enforcement Torch Run, in terms of donation amount raised.
