    Did you see a dog acting funny? Are the animals doing something
    strange? Pay attention to what animals are doing. Learning about
    animal actions may save lives. Scientists think that animals may be
    able to predict earthquakes.
    There are many stories about animals and earthquakes. In 373 BC
    there was an earthquake in Helice. Animals left the city before the earthquake. In
    2008 in China, animals in the zoo acted strangely before a large earthquake, too.
    Animals have strong senses. They can sense changes in temperature. They can sense
    changes in smell. They can hear sounds that people cannot hear. These senses may
    help animals predict an earthquake.
    Scientists continue to study animal actions. They hope animals can help people
    prepare for earthquakes in the future.
