My educational philosophy is a merger of how I aspire to teach and my desire to be a lifelong learner. My classroom climate will be safe, collaborative, and allow my students to feel comfortable when expressing their views. Parents and students should know the goals of every lesson that I teach.

My educational philosophy is a merger of how I aspire to teach and my desire to be a
lifelong learner. My purpose for establishing an educational philosophy is to reflect on and improve my classroom communication, interaction, and overall effectiveness. As a teacher, I am accountable for building a successful student-learning environment that values and allows learning for both my students and myself. My classroom climate will be safe, collaborative, and allow my students to feel comfortable when expressing their views, discussing differences of opinion, and sharing their experiences. As the teacher, it is important that I establish and sustain a rigorous and realistic classroom climate that is student-centric and teaches my students problem solving skills. At the same time ensuring that I supply my students with enough tools and information to solve a problem, yet not give them the answer. I believe that parents and students should know the goals of every lesson that I teach. Building effective partnerships with the parents of my students will help to support my students learning and can lead to improved student learning outcomes. Parental engagement can also have a positive impact on various indicators of a students achievement and development. Additionally, authenticity is very important for me as a teacher. Being honest and modeling trust will significantly help create a successful learning environment for my students and cultivate a collaborative climate in my classroom.
