The student attended a field trip with their electronics engineering class to ON Semiconductor Philippines. They listened to a presentation about the company's values, history, products, and hiring process. The students enjoyed an educational video about how semiconductors are used in ON's products. However, the tour did not meet the student's expectations of seeing the work areas and equipment. They did find the video informative and learned about ON's daily life products and techniques to solve problems. The student concluded they gained experience from any mistakes to avoid repeating them.

We, the electronics engineering students of Technological
Institute of the Philippines Manila goes to different companies that are related to our program to learn. Our class went on a short field trip to ON semiconductor Philippines. The field trip consisted of us sitting in a conference room and listening to the details of the companies values and beliefs, a little of the companys history and the stores that they distribute to, the process of hiring new employees and the qualifications that an employee must possess, and finally the way that this companies run. There, all the students, including me, felt very happy about the video that was shown to us. The video was very educational. It taught us some important things about how does a semiconductor like ON runs its products. I believe that even the kids who are much younger than the college students like us would also enjoy listening the speaker because the speaker always talk about the main ingredient in having a great company is being disciplined. But, unfortunately, the tour to ON Semiconductor did not meet some of my expectations. I was just expecting that we would be toured around the vicinity of the said division. I was also expecting that we would be shown and would be handling the instruments that the divisions employees are using. Anyway, the video-viewing was undeniably fun and didactic which made me feel contented and satisfied. They also have slides showing what are the products of ON semiconductor and what does ON Semiconductor contribute in our daily life, its amazing that almost every day in our life we have a product of them that we are using. I have also acquired some techniques to solve some problems that happens outside the school, for example. Learning how does they send information from the aviation to the airplane which can be used in future applications when we are in the field of industry. In this fieldtrip, I also learned that from our mistakes we can gain experience and it can be an opportunity for us to not let it happen again.
