A pro-Umno portal has questioned developments surrounding the case involving Penang Chief
Minister Lim Guan Engs purchase of his RM2.8 million bungalow at allegedly below market
value.

MyKMU in a posting noted that it has been over a month since the Malaysian Anti-Corruption
Commission (MACC) submitted its investigation papers to the Attorney-Generals Chambers for
further action.
Therefore, without the slightest intention to dispute the integrity of the attorney-general, and to
just seek an assurance, what exactly is the current status of the case?
Under ordinary circumstances, the rakyat will be informed whether the investigation papers
were returned, case closed or recommended for charges. But in this case, so far there has been
nothing (updates), it said.
It also said this was despite a string of other cases that may soon follow, involving the Penang
state governments integrity and a large sum of publics money.
Among others, claims of unreasonable payments to contractors linked to construction of the
undersea tunnel that may not be built and replaced with a third bridge, and more.
Hundreds of millions have flown but no guarantee the tunnel will be built, MyKMU claimed,
adding that there could be more cases of corruption involving other Pakatan Harapan parties.
The portal said that to wait until all related investigations are complete before
taking further action could take a long time and disrupt administration of the
respective state governments.

This is because it has been announced that those involved (in the investigations) will be asked
to take leave from their positions if their case goes to court.
Many people are eager to see whether they would really do what they say (take leave if case
goes to court). The buzz has been going on for months, it said.
MyKMU, however, reiterated that the people will accept any decision made by the attorneygeneral (Mohamed Apandi Ali) and that his integrity in handling such high-profile cases has
never been disputed.
