A. Question how far will the rocket go with different weight in the 20 ounce?
B. Hypothesis if is less water in the 20 ounze then it will fly farther because the nose will not be
pointed down.
C. data table

distance depends on weight in 20 ounce

Weight (ml) Distance (m)
Trial 1 Trial 2 average
0 25.5 39
150 36 39
125 64.5 72
200 37.5 54
300 21 21

D. 5 controlled variables.
Same wing size, same wing shape, same air pressure, same # of fins, same amount of water in 2
leader.

E. Materials
2 liter, 20 ounce, duck tape, cardboard, scissors, air pressure launcher, water, sharpie, beaker, meter
stick

F. procedure
1 build rockets with 2 leader, 20 ounce, and 3 wings at 20 by 10
2 fill rocket with 250 in 2 liter and indepenent variable in 20 ounce
3 take safety procautions
4 have teacher fill bottle with air and launch
5 count # of fence posts it traveled
6 convert fence post # times three to get the meters traveled
7 repeat 2- 6 as many times you need.

G. Fill in the data table.
H. Graph

I. Conclusion
yes and no because if no weight is In it
flies at the same time as being pushed by
the wind. But if you have too much weight
it will not fly too far.

X= weight Y=distance
