Policy: 4.14

FUNDS

All funds handled by the employees of the Board shall be considered to

be funds of the Board and shall be handled in accordance with federal
regulations, Virginia State Law, procedures of the Virginia State Board of
Education, School Board policies, and regulations of the Superintendent.
Any cash that remains in the school building overnight shall be turned
into the school office and placed in a secured location.

Petty cash shall be handled in accordance with Policy 4.19.

Internal School Accounts money shall be handled in accordance with

Policy 4.17. Cash collected as Internal School Accounts money shall not
be left unattended in teachers' desks, lockers, or closets during the
school day.

All other money shall be handled in accordance with Policy 4.9.

Funds collected in the schools for reimbursement to the School Board

shall be handled in compliance with administrative regulations.
