PoCoMo works from a relationship-based focus
is the first mobile drop-in centre &
outreach program of its kind in BC. An
innovative program, it connects with street
involved youth in the communities of Coquitlam,
Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore, and
Belcarra.
Staffed by a diverse team of adult youth
workers, youth mentors and volunteers, Project
Reach Out heads out after-hours and actively
seeks out and engages street involved youth.

The Youth Bus is often the first point of contact for
many youth struggling with drugs or other issues
and provides a safe place for youth to hang out and
talk with a caring outreach worker.

Your referral will be held with the utmost sensitivity
and confidentiality. We are open to hearing and
discussing your concerns. We will support you, and
if need be, assist you in finding other community
resources.

The goal of Project Reach Out is to
change the nature of engagement with
youth. We engage with youth where they are,
on their turf. We create a supportive and
consistent presence with youth, and through
youth engagement, establish relationships,
trust, and community connection that:
 Reduce vandalism, crime, violence, drug
abuse and sexual exploitation.
 Increase empathy, community connection,
sense of belonging and self-esteem.
 Improve the safety and quality of life of
youth who are street involved and “at-risk”.
 Reconnect youth with community and
resources.
