SDLC: IMPLEMENTATION AND FORMAL TESTING

1: Why is the maintenance of a system so expensive?


The maintenance of the system that can be expensive because it implies that
qualified personnel should be employed. Employing specialists to maintain software
that the business has written is highly expensive and may not be economically
viable. In the idea of the world, the application should be maintained and undergo
to life cycle testing.

2: The process of obtaining maintenance request consists of four steps. Name and
describe each of these steps.

This is the four steps are:

1. Obtaining requests for maintenance- it is important that information is


gathered in a formal and consistent way. Organizations often produce their
own service request form that they make available via their internal net work.
2. Transforming these requests into changes- Once it is requests has been
analyses in this way.
3. Designing the change- It is the turned into a list of changes that will be
carried out, these changes are fed through a design phase and then
implemented.
4. Implementing the changes-The changes able to be implemented easily may
prompt a new SDLC, to changes result of changes to the system also new
versions some all of the software programs may be created.

3: Describe and compare the different types of maintenance that can be performed
