Queuing Theory

 Queuing theory was developed by Mr. A .

K . Crlang. It is applicable to the situation
where customer arised at some service station
for service , wait and leave the system after
gettingAservice.

2) According to Number , 3) According to Time

Queuing Theory
According to Source :- The source of customer
for a queuing system can be finite or infinite.
 finite :- No. of Student in class.
 infinite :- Customer coming in the male.
According to Number :- The customer may
arrive a system individually or in batch.
 Individually :- Billing counter.
 Batches :- Movie ticket, Group
Discussion(GD).
According to Time :- The customer may arrive
at a known time or might arrive in a random
way.
Queuing Theory
The queuing model where in customer arrival
time in known as Deterministic Model.
 For Example:- Tuition Class, Servicing Class.
If arrival time is unknown or random per unit
time in a given system is given by probability
distribution tables.
Poisson Distribution Table
Queue-Structure:- The order by which
customer are picked up from the waiting line
for service.
 For Example :- LIFO, FIFO,SIRO(service in
random order).
Service system :- Service system is determine
by two aspects ………..
1.Structure of service system
2.Speed of service system
Poisson Distribution Table
1.Structure of service system
Single service facility :- ATMs service, Library.
Multiple service facility with single queue :-
ATMs
Multiple service facility with multiple queue :-
Toll free number, Railway reservation
system.
Multiple service system in series :- Token in
restaurant.
