INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS AND INTERNS

Dear Sir/Madam;

This is to inform you that Africa Project organization will match American volunteers in
completing academic and skill-based volunteer work with local NGOs based in Gulu, Uganda
beginning in May of 2008. Africa Project is a non-profit organization based in North Carolina,
USA with a mission to promote education, cultural diversity and social enterprise. Our vision
is to provide opportunities and environments in which individuals can explore and realize their
full potential in life. We strive to instill a culture of self-reliance through empowerment and
support individuals as well as organizations in bringing development to their communities.

Starting this summer of 2008, Africa Project will sponsor and match volunteers to complete
service work in and around Gulu. Although some volunteers have been assigned to pre-existing
programs, we are accepting requests from local organizations in need of volunteers to work in
the areas of Education, Cultural Institutions, Women and Youth, Science and Technology,
Community Development, Rural Community Projects, Health, HIV/AIDS, Environmental
Conservation, Tourism and Antiquities.

Our volunteers are highly-skilled and mostly from higher institutions of learning and from
diverse fields. Our interns/volunteer commit to an average of between two ( 2 ) to 12 weeks of
service and in some cases even longer. Many of our volunteers are Undergraduate and Graduate
students as well as seasoned professionals who have decided to dedicate their time and effort to
help people and organizations in Africa achieve their goals.
