This document provides a rubric for evaluating student presentations at the Novice-Mid level in Spanish. The rubric includes 6 criteria for evaluation: understanding, language use, vocabulary, verb use, engaging the audience, and organization. For each criterion, the rubric describes the requirements to meet expectations or exceed expectations, earning a 3 or 6, and to not meet expectations, earning a 1. Requirements to meet or exceed expectations include speaking clearly, using new vocabulary from assigned readings, and adding embellishments to engage the audience. Requirements to not meet expectations include mumbling, lack of new vocabulary, and only reading directly from materials.
