    in talks of vacation

    Once introduced

    the world is forgotten.

    No matter the weather,

    nothing is rotten

    . . . in Denmark

    What was I saying?

    But what do I care

    what they do over there

    when you’re here with me now.

    The bliss is upon me

    And it might even drown me

    . . . in the ocean

    What was I saying?

    But the waves that are

    hitting me

    aren’t quite wet.

    The best of them all

    hasn’t gotten here yet.

    So I’m waiting and waiting

    my stomach is roiling,

    my brow etched with grime . . .

    It seems the good wave

    isn’t coming this time . . .
