Morning Notes 10.06.

2010

MARKET INSIGHTS: On 9th June 2010,The key benchmark indices eked out small gains in
DATA MATRIX OF LAST SESSION a choppy trading session as data showing a surge in car sales in May 2010 triggered bargain
INDEX Close Chg Chg hunting after a two-day slide. Revival of the monsoon rains also supported the domestic
bourses. European stocks and US index futures dropped. Asian stocks were mixed. The BSE

30-share Sensex was provisionally up 64.79 points or 0.39%, off close to 135 points from the
Nifty 5000 13 0.26% day's high and up close to 90 points from the day's low. IT and FMCG stocks fell. Metal
Midcap 6791 33 0.49% stocks rose. Index heavyweights Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro
Smallcap 8493 25 0.30% regained strength in late trade. The S&P CNX Nifty provisionally closed above the
psychological 5,000 mark, having alternately moved above and below that level in intraday
trade. The market jumped in early afternoon trade as Chinese stocks surged. The market

pared gains in afternoon trade after hitting a fresh intraday high. The market slipped into the
BSE 3896 12.47% red in mid-afternoon trade as European stocks pared gains. The market soon regained
NSE 11748 1.66% positive zone.

As per provisional figures, the BSE 30-share Sensex was up 64.79 points or 0.39% to
16,681.89. The Sensex rose 200.59 points at the day's high of 16,817.69 in early afternoon
NET INFLOWS (Rs Crs) Chg trade. The Sensex fell 25.84 points at the day's low of 16,591.26 in mid-afternoon trade. The
FIIs -256.0 6% S&P CNX Nifty was up 22.25 points or 0.45% to 5,009.35 as per provisional figures. The BSE
DIIs 128.0 212% Mid-Cap index rose 0.5%. The BSE Small-Cap index rose 0.37%. The market breadth,
indicating the overall health of the market, was positive. On BSE, 1448 shares advanced as
compared with 1326 that declined. A total of 107 shares were unchanged.

European shares turned negative on Wednesday morning, led lower by British
FII Index Futures 13965 -1.59%
Petroleum. The key benchmark indices in UK and Germany were down by 0.13% to 0.18%.

France's CAC 40 was flat. Chinese stocks surged, reversing earlier losses, boosted by a
FII Stock Futures 26673 1.86% report of upbeat export and loan growth in May 2010. The Shanghai Composite jumped
FII Stock Options 1154 1.50% 2.78%. The key benchmarks in Indonesia and Hong Kong rose by 0.03% to 1.04%. In other
Asian stocks, the key benchmark indices in Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan fell
by 0.24% to 1.12%.

TECHNICAL VIEW: Absolutely tracking the same foot prints of European markets, domestic indices once again shown
some lack luster trade in the last session though 4950-60 level still act as a crucial level of support. For today session we expect
range bound scenario between 4950-5070 though we feel momentum still shown some lack of conviction. Any break out above
this level will add some positivity in short term and we might see 5150-5170 where possibility of profit booking can’t be rule out.
On the flip side any drift below 4930 level may generate some panic however next level of support should be around 4860 level..
