Marcus to the Rescue

STUDENT DIRECTIONS: This is a story with lots of action and lends itself well to visual representation. Working in cooperative
groups of 2-3 students per group, you have approximately15-20 minutes to read through the story on page 25 and to discuss its
meaning. After you have the main actions deduced, in your groups create a comic strip of at least 6 cells; you have the remainder of
class to finish the assignment. You also need to either include speech bubbles or have a caption for each picture. Rubric: 5 pts
creativity; 5 pts. Neatness; 5 pts. Accuracy of details; 5 pts. Complete coverage of story = 20 pts total (two classwork grades)
