Public Wish of the Burmese Community in Japan with regard to 2010

Election in Burma

We strongly believe that the so-called 2010 Election by the Burmese military regime will not be able
to pave the way for the restoration of democracy and reconciliation that is essentially needed in
Burma. The regime is aiming to entrench its brutal rule so that the entire people will be forced to
become military slaves.

Our Burmese community composed of all Burmese political and ethnic organizations and individuals
in Japan wants to end dictatorship immediately and build a democratic federal union of Burma
together with all inclusive stakeholders. With this national purpose, we will hold an event of “Public
Wish” in regard to the junta’s Election which is supposed to be held this year.

We respectfully invite anyone of all patriotic and pro-democracy Burmese in Japan to participate in
this event to show your wish by voting wisely, which is very essential for our nation and peoples to
liberate from dictatorship as well as enjoy democracy and rule of law.
