Help us find the ‘Original Flavour of Saint John’

The foghorn blows in the distance and the early evening chill of this Port City sets in. Back from the market,
you carry sacks of wheat flour, sugar and salt into the comfortable smoky kitchen. The fire in the woodstove
is crackling and a broth stew is thickening, brewing a bouquet of thyme, basil, cumin and sage in the steam.
Molasses cookies are baking and the sweet cinnamon, clove and nutmeg aromas mingle, tickling your
senses. It is 1785. You are hungry, your tastebuds are sharp, and ‘The Original Flavour of Saint John’ is in
the air!

We are looking for this ‘flavour’ to represent our wonderful, historic city in its 225 th year.

You, with a true talent for taste, can help us by becoming an exclusive ‘judge.’ Being one of 300 registered
judges, YOU will help decide this signature dish by tasting each of three submissions at the grand SJ225
Celebration at Rockwood Park on July 3. Many will want to taste…but only a select 300 will have the chance.
