I studied the 12 Core Functions of an LSAC licensure including, yet not limited to: screenings,
intakes, orientations, assessments, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis
interventions, client education, referrals, reports and record keeping, consultations. I learned
treatment interventions appropriate for substance related disorders. My cumulative GPA for the
year was 3.896. I took the AODA Counselor Certification Examination in June, 2007 with a
passing score of 612/800.

Internship

I was able to complete my internship at A/D Psychotherapy and Clinical, from March, 07 -July,
07. I received hands on training with clients coping with substance abuse issues, co-facilitated
groups and also served as leader. Conducted initial assessments and developed individual
treatment plans to meet the client needs.
