Properties of Materials
a.) Mechanical Property it involves external stimulus due to force or load or
usually due to strength that causes deformation.
b.) Electrical Property it refers to electrical conductivity, resistivity and dielectric
constant present in every material.
c.) Thermal Property it refers the heat capacity of the material or thermal
conductivity at certain temperature.
d.) Magnetic Property it refers to permeability or the property that allow itself to be
aligned with the magnetic field of the coil.
e.) Optical Property refers to electromagnetic radiation due to light, must of
macroscopic materials possess this property; transparent, translucent, and opaque.
f.) Deteriorative Property the property of the material to stand chemical reactivity
with the environment, corrosion, and resistance.
