Amendment No. 1 to House Resolution No. 1004.

Amend House Resolution No. 1004 as originally introduced:

Page 1, delete lines 11 and 12 and substitute the following:

"SPEAKER-DESIGNATE."

AND

Delete the subtitle in its entirety and substitute:

"TO AMEND THE RULES OF THE HOUSE OF

REPRESENTATIVES CONCERNING THE ELECTION
OF A SPEAKER-DESIGNATE."

AND

Page 2, delete lines 3 through 6 and substitute the following:

"number of votes he or she received."
