I have over 20 years of experience in the group health insurance industry, mostly in the
area of group underwriting. I believe strongly in a teamwork approach, and am confident
that this approach was critical to the success of the underwriting departments I have
worked for in the past. I have always established good working relationships, not only
with the various underwriting and sales staffs, but with the finance, product development,
membership accounting, healthcare services and claims departments. I have
consistently applied this team approach in all the organizations I have been involved
with. For example, if a customer needed help with an issue that was not related to
underwriting, I always made sure to find the right contact person to assist that customer.
