Psalm 1: Beatus vir qui non abiit Surah 1: Al-Fatihah

Blessed is the man that walks not in the In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

season; his leaf also shall not wither; and
whatsoever he does shall prosper. Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff
which the wind drives away. It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the

judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of Guide us to the straight path.

For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: The path of those upon whom You have
but the way of the ungodly shall perish. bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked
Your anger or of those who are astray.
