Mainly affects the Foetus in early pregnancy period
All girls aged 11 to 19 years and women in the
childbearing age are at risk
Spread by coughing, sneezing
2 lakhs kids are born with congenital defect due to
rubella every year in India.
Rubella virus interferes with the development of organs
in the foetus.
