1. Apply knowledge of context clues to comprehend new words in text: There are many
ways to accomplish this standard. Most of them are boring. Here's a great context clues
lesson plan that can be used in concert with a piece of literature. It may also help to explain
what context clues are.
2. Apply knowledge of Greek and Latin roots and affixes to determine word meaning
