The document discusses two forums - the Departmental Development Sub Committee (DDSC) and the Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) - that approve development schemes for the Cholistan Development Authority (CDA) in Bahawalpur. The DDSC, headed by the Secretary of Planning & Development, approves schemes from Rs. 100-200 million, while the DDWP, headed by the Commissioner, approves schemes up to Rs. 100 million. The Regional Planning Section clarified to the Managing Director of CDA that there is no overlap between the two forums' jurisdictions, and schemes should be submitted to the appropriate forum based on their value.

Subject:- DEPARTMENTAL DEVELOPMENT SUB COMMITTEE OF
CHOLISTAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BAHAWALPUR
(DDSC) BWP
Managing Director, CDA has informed vide PUC that
currently the following two forums have been notified for approval of development schemes of CDA:- (Rs. in million) Forum Date of Competenc Notificatio y of n Approval Departmental Development Sub 26.01.2009 200 .000 Committee (DDSC) headed by Secretary, P&D Department. Divisional Development Working Party 01.01.2009 100.000 (DDWP) headed by Commissioner.
Managing Director, CDA has, therefore, sought a clarification as if the
development projects of CAD may be submitted to DDWP or DDSC for approval.
The case has been examined in Regional Planning Section
and it is observed that there is no confusion/overlap in the jurisdiction of DDSC and DDWP. The schemes with the value of Rs. 100 million are to be approved by DDWP and the schemes with a value from Rs. 100 million to Rs. 200 million are to be approved by DDSC. So is the case with the schemes of all other departments. May inform Managing Director, CDA accordingly.
