Nanci,

I wanted to acknowledge receipt of your First Request for Production of Documents. However,
the Hawaii Rules of Civil Procedure do not apply to probate proceedings unless authorized by the
court. Therefore, we will not be responding to the First Request and have so informed Reed
Hayes (to whom the documents were to be delivered). I will see you at the hearing next Friday.
