Statement by Governor Brewer Regarding Sen. David Braswell, 
Candidate for Legislative District 6 Senate 
 
PHOENIX, AZ – Governor Jan Brewer made the following statement today: 
 
“Senator Braswell has been very supportive of my efforts to fight illegal 
immigration, address the state’s budget crisis and create jobs.  I support his 
candidacy for the state Senate.”  
 
Senator David Braswell was unanimously appointed by the Maricopa County 
Board of Supervisors to fill the vacant Senate seat in District 6 back in February.  
He is currently running for that seat to serve a full elected term. 
 
Upon hearing the news of Governor Brewer’s endorsement, Senator Braswell 
stated, “I’m honored and humbled to have the support of our governor.  She has 
demonstrated courage and resolute strength in her fight to protect Arizonans.  I 
look forward to working with her again in my next term to continue tackling the 
tough challenges our state now faces.” 
 
District 6 is comprised of North Phoenix, Deer Valley, Moon Valley and Anthem.   
Senator Braswell lives in Moon Valley with his wife of twenty‐five years, Rhonda, 
and their three daughters.
