Texting in a Business Environment

Students in this marketing oriented class made the following suggestions for use of text
messaging in their business:

- Texting is an excellent tool to create repeat business and customer loyalty

- Texts can inform existing customers about new products and services or inform about special
promotions.

- Texting can be used for immediate feedback to staff, unforeseen events during the business day
or inform about emergencies.

- Customer can receive awards for sending text messages or placing orders by text. (Free drinks
or free desserts) Orders placed by text have a lower error incidence than orders placed by phone.
