“I HEAR DEATH”

(Clarissa S. Rosalia)

Heavy burdens, trials and woes

Unspoken failures, failed dreams and hopes
Grieving heart and broken dreams
Leads to the path of awaiting grave.

Happy mem’ries died so empty

A day of dawn went away
Darkened skies, embraces me
The gift of life is worthless.

Mourning soul cries to death

Bereavement awaits
Torn and shattered, dispirited
A futile life must end.

Peace! I leave... bliss me not

Farewell! Now I depart
Death, I hear, to me it calls
Reach my hand... free my soul.

Bless to thee that made me seek

The way to it and made me weak
Thou shall be glad, for I’ll be gone
To thee I leave my loving heart.

Farewell...
