BANK ROBBERY
UPDATE

ON Sunday, August 1, 2010, information was received on a suspect in the Bank Robbery
at the Fifth / Third Bank on Burton SE.

Grand Rapids Detectives and members of the FBI Fugitive Team and Ottawa County
Sheriff made the arrest. Information on this subject had come about from a picture that
had been distributed by the media. This investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Grand Rapids Police Department or
the FBI.

On July 31, 2010, at 1045 am the Grand Rapids Police responded to a report of a Bank
Robbery at the Fifth/Third Bank at 2465 Burton SE.

The suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the teller. The suspect implied a
weapon but one was not seen. Money was given to the suspect and he fled the bank. A gold
vehicle with tinted windows was seen leaving the area at a high speed right after the robbery.
The vehicle is thought to be a newer Honda.

The suspect is thought to be a H/M or W/M approx. 6’tall. The suspect is wearing a visor type
hat with a dark shirt and cargo type shorts.

Grand Rapids Police along with the FBI are following up on the robbery. Anyone with
information about this incident is asked to call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 456-
