The Native Village of Eyak is hosting a workshop for youth ages 11 and up on raising awareness of methamphetamine prevention and peer pressure. The workshop will be held on Friday, August 6th from 12pm to 4pm at the Pioneer Igloo and will provide lunch, snacks, and prizes. The workshop will consist of two sessions that overview the chemical effects of meth on the brain, consequences of meth use, and prevention methods such as practicing refusal skills and building protective factors.
