    The movie is about a midwife named sibyl Danforth.

    The story
    focuses on her busy career on becoming a professional birth attendant.

    One stormy, freezing night her most unforgettable experience


    happens. During a home birth the woman in labor experienced difficulty in
    delivering and prolonged labor, the woman has insufficient nutrients in her body
    and she is experiencing elevation in her blood pressure. When Sibyl felt that she
    can no longer handle the case of the women, she immediately seek for help, she
    tried to contact some hospital but all the lines are knocked down, she tried to use
    her own care but all roads are blocked due to the storm. When she cannot find any
    help she goes back to the house and again attend to the woman in labor, as the
    woman bear down suddenly the woman experienced heart attack and immediately
    died. She tried to revive the patient but unfortunately she cannot find any sign of
    life to the mother. Sibyl forced to act quickly to cheat death of atleast one of its
    victims, she performed an immediate ceasarian section which is not allowed to a
    midwife.

    As she wrestles with tragedy, her worries are compounded by


    the news that the authorities have brought charge of manslaughter against her.
    Though she has devoted her career to helping others create life, sibyl faces a legal
    battle for her own life with the help of her attorney Stephen Hastings. As the trial
    goes many witnesses made their statements but in the end the truth still prevails.
    Sibyl Danforth was found not guilty.

    Pregnancy Complications and problems:

     Insufficient nutrients
     Heart disease
     Lack of checkup
     Unable to beardown properly

    The movie is good because it helps us appreciate the course we are taking
    and the movie gives us an overview of what is our future profession. It helps us
    realize how hard yet fulfilling , noble and important our chosen career is.We the
    future frontliners, Midwives can definitely save lives.
