Knitted Mary Jane’s

Designed by oslofia

Materials:
Yarn: DK weight: 50g = 110m (1,8 Oz = 120yd) pink wool. Optional, two buttons for
decoration.

Needles: 3,5 mm (4 U.S). Crochet hook 4 mm (F U.S)

Size: US 5, European 38 (24 cm/9,5 inch). For other sizes: increase or decrease number of sts.
You can’t go wrong because the slipper is very ‘stretchy’ =)

Slipper (make two alike):

Cast on 46 sts, work 2k, 2p rib for approx 17 cm (6,8”). Bind off in rib knitting. Fold slipper
so that you get the rib like displayed in the picture, and sew sides. Put the slipper on your foot
to see where to attach the strap, mark with a pin.

Attact yarn where you put the pin, and ch strap to desired length. Crochet 1 sc in the second
ch from the hook and across back to the beginning of the row. Fasten off, tuck in tails. Sew on
button, and use the space between two sc as a buttonhole.

Abbreviations:

beg = beginning ndls = needles

inc = increase cont = continue
k = knit st(s) = stitch(es)
p = purl St st = stockinette stitch
rib = k2, p2 meas = measure
