Educators saying, “We are doing the best job we can

Educators saying, “We have high expectations of our own performance.”

The Coleman Report proves we don’t control the learning process. It is


controlled by the socioeconomic and home-life background of the students.

Minority students can’t meet high expectations.

Educators in high socioeconomic schools are doing a better job than those in
low socioeconomic schools because their students’ test results are higher.

Certification guarantees that a person can do a competent job.

We are too busy to improve.

Lots more money is needed in the education system today.

We don’t need ideas and skills from outside of education because education
is different and we know best.

The public doesn’t understand our problems.

Educators have a good perspective on our society as a whole and the


requirements their students need to fulfill to succeed upon graduation
whether in a job or at college.

The seniority based pay system for teachers is the only workable system.
