Objectives
1. To study the scheduling system that was existing in Bellop
Ltd.

2. To understand the analysis for a method of production


planning and scheduling, made by the assistant manager of
production planning and scheduling in Bellop.
Introduction
• Bellop Ltd is an manufacturing company of electronic items

•In 1980 the company established a unit within its manufacturing


premises for producing a fabricated components

•Bellop company was producing fabricated products on the cellular


manufacturing principle
•The unit established by the company namely fabricated shop was
divided into five work cells and each cells processed a group of
similar products
MATERIAL FLOW IN BELLOP LTD
• The job which takes longest production route as shown in an
process flow
• The job plan was divided into categories as Monthly production ,
quarterly production and yearly production
Problems faced in existing control procedures
The problem was due delays taking place in the paint shop,
which caused heavy rescheduling of assemblies and failures
in delivery date commitments
To overcome this problem development division manger
and superintendent in paint shop decided to schedule the to
avoid delays in completion of operations
 To overcome the delays in paint shops the superintendent of
paint shop Vora decided to take help of Khan the industrial
engineer to correct the capacities of the paint shop
