MTV Networks:

Over the last several weeks, I have been hearing quite a bit about your show Degrassi: The
Boiling Point from many young people. When I watched the show to see what the buzz was
about, I was completely shocked that a show that advocates a pro-abortion, pro-contraception,
pro-teen pregnancy agenda would be aired on TeenNick. I was so angered that we are teaching
our young people that the immoral activity of pre-marital sex, contraception and abortion are
perfectly acceptable in our society. I cannot sit back and let this happen.

I am urging you to please make changes in the plot of Degrassi and remove all language that is
supportive of abortions and the use of contraception. Until such changes are made, I cannot and
will not watch ANY television network owned by MTV Networks. I am also calling all of my
readers to boycott all MTV Networks until such changes are made. I will also be forwarding my
boycott call to many other popular Catholic bloggers who will share with their readers.

Until such changes are made to the show, I am asking you to remove the show from airing on
TeenNick; I believe a more suitable channel for airing would be MTV2 because that channel is
not widely available on basic cable services.
