Well, hello there!

My name is Odie and I am a golden-coloured, three-year-old

labradoodle and I live on the side of Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver. You
may remember the story I wrote last year (boy, it’s hard to write my stories with
no fingers), It was the winning one about how the cats and I travelled from
England to Vancouver on the plane. This is a follow-up. I am going to talk about
some pretty wild experiences I’ve, well, experienced since I arrived here ten-
months ago (wow, that long already?).

First of all, it wasn’t long until I met my new next-door neighbours, the skunks
and the raccoons. There are also bears but they never appear. Well, actually,
there have been many bear sightings on my street and around my
neighbourhood, but I have never seen one myself. The skunks drive me crazy!
Once, I was happily digging up holes in a bush in my back garden, when an angry
skunk sprayed me in my face! I barked and barked to show how much I did not
appreciate his stinky greeting, but then he sprayed me again! I stunk the whole
house up when I went back inside. My family didn’t think tomato juice worked on
dog with a skunk odor, so they massaged my head with toothpaste! It’d true! I
was all white after my head had been completely toothpasted. The smell
eventually went away, but it was also a shame because it kept the cats away from
me for once. I’m not too fond of the raccoons because they trash the bins outside
our garage. I prefer it if they stopped doing this, simply because it’s my job to
annoy my family by doing stupid stuff!

I have many favourite hobbies! First of all, I love being the cat police (you may
remember this from my last story). I love giving them a second telling off after
my parents have done it, and also chase them around the house for absolutely no
reason at all! I also love climbing onto the trampoline when my sisters are on it.
It annoys them, but that’s what makes me cute!

My favourite food? Dog treats, cat food and poop (my own, obviously). Cat food, I
always take the cat’s food when they’re given some. I can’t help it! It just tastes so
nice! Poop, well, it just tastes nice okay! And plus, I don’t actually eat it, I just lick
it.

Well, that’s everything! Aren’t I adorable?

*Please not, all these things are ABSOULUTELY true. Like, really. These really did
happen!
