To connect two pieces of edging: cut off 4-6 inches of the top bead from one end using snips or a hack saw to make an even cut; insert the knurled connector into the uncut end about 4 inches and align the cut end so it overlaps the sidewall and V groove; place the edging in the trench with the V groove in the ground and stakes can be used by pounding them through the overlapped walls at a 45 degree angle to secure the pieces.

the top bead from one of the two ends to be connected. Use care to make an even cut which will ensure a clean seam.
Align both pieces with the bottom V groove
facing the same direction and insert knurled connector in the uncut end approximately 4”. Align the remaining exposed connector with the cut end and join the two pieces, over- lapping the sidewall and V groove, as pictured.
Place edging in trench with the “V” in the
ground, toward the dirt side of the bed (the round top is the only part that should be above ground). Make sure that pieces remain joined against each other after placement in trench.
For best results, use of anchoring stakes is
always recommended. Pound stake, flange pointed downward and towards the grass side, through overlapped walls of edging at a 45-degree angle, just above the V-lip portion.
